The video captured a tense moment outside Golden Hours Liquor on International Boulevard in Oakland, California, on Saturday. The incident unfolded just after 4:15 pm when a liquor store employee drew a pistol after being surrounded by a crowd.
According to the Oakland Police Department, the worker, who was not identified, did not fire the gun. Police investigated a ‘ShotSpotter activation’—a system that detects gunfire—at the scene. Although evidence of a shooting was found, no injuries or arrests were reported.
The situation began when the employee, dressed in a black T-shirt with tattoos on his arm, was slapped by a man in a red hoodie. As the altercation escalated, the employee retreated into the store, followed by a group of bikers.
Inside, he retrieved a handgun and came outside to confront the crowd. He waved the gun around, causing the crowd to flee. Some people stayed close, while others quickly left the scene. The employee continued to shout and push individuals, including one man in a gray hoodie.
Afterward, he picked up his hat and argued with a man in a black hoodie. Another individual attempted to mediate the situation.
