Kevin O’Leary, star of “Shark Tank,” criticized Vice President Kamala Harris for avoiding the press since becoming the Democratic presidential nominee. O’Leary argued that it is unacceptable for a candidate for the presidency to avoid addressing the media.
“Let’s be bipartisan for a moment and agree on one thing: There is no scenario where the President of the United States should not hold a press conference,” O’Leary stated on Monday’s episode of “Outnumbered.” He emphasized that every president has faced the press in both favorable and challenging times. “She has to start talking to the press, period.”
O’Leary noted that both investors and swing state voters need clear explanations to make informed decisions. “I need explanations for these policies because I have to invest based on them,” O’Leary said. “I have questions and I don’t get any answers. I’m not being unreasonable.”
He urged Harris to engage with the press, saying, “Come out, come out, wherever you are and talk to the press!”
Since becoming the Democratic nominee, Harris has not held any formal news conferences or major interviews, leaving many voters and observers seeking more information about her policy positions.
