The incident took place at around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, August 21, near the southwest corner of Lorimer Street and Broadway in Williamsburg. A 49-year-old woman was walking when two individuals on a two-wheeled vehicle approached her from behind and snatched her purse, causing her to fall to the ground.
She sustained pain and bruising to her arm. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) treated the woman at the scene.
The suspects fled north on Broadway on their moped. The first suspect was reportedly wearing a blue jacket, blue hat, and sunglasses. The second suspect was seen wearing a black hat, black t-shirt, black shorts, sunglasses, white sneakers, and carrying a white and gray backpack.
